Please note that this is an apprenticeship position and therefore anyone with more than six months professional experience working as a data analyst or who holds a degree or Master’s degree in a subject such as Data Science, Business Analytics, Maths will not be eligible.
You will also need to commit to completing a Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship.

What Does a Data Analyst Do?
The Data Analyst role is about ascertaining how data can be used to answer questions and solve problems. Data analysis is a process of requirement-gathering, inspecting, cleansing, transforming and modelling data with the goal of discovering useful information, informing conclusions and supporting decision-making. Data analysis has multiple facets and approaches, encompassing diverse techniques under a variety of names
Your Apprenticeship Journey:
Year 1: Working with the designated college on modules during the first year you will cover a number of modules including identifying data sources, liaising with customers, collect, compile and cleanse data and start to produce data dashboards.
Year 2: Continuing to work with your designated college you will cover areas such as maintaining and developing reports, produce a range of standard and non-standard statistical and data analyst reports and start to identify, analyse and interpret trends or patterns in data.

We offer a competitive starting salary of £21,000 in the first year, increasing to approximately £27,000 upon qualification. You'll receive on-the-job training alongside a college education leading to a nationally recognised “Data Analyst” Level 4 qualification. Successful completion of the apprenticeship scheme also guarantees a permanent position at Vp if still employed with Vp at the end of your Apprenticeship.
Are You the Right Fit?
Do you have:
A proven interest in data analysis (this could be from formal studies, self study or the workplace)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
The ability to work independently and in a team environment
The ability to be detail-oriented with a strong attention to accuracy and completeness
Exceptional problem-solving skills
Willingness to learn and continuously improve technical and professional skills
Competency with Microsoft office applications including Excel
Some experience of using data tools (e.g. SQL, Python, visualisation tools such as Power BI / Tableau etc) would be an advantage but not essential.
Qualifications
Essential
7 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades 9-4 or A-C including English and Mathematics
Applications are encouraged from graduates with related degrees looking for an apprenticeship route to a Data Analytics career.
