Please note that this is an apprenticeship position and therefore anyone with more than six months professional experience working as a data analyst or who holds a degree or Master’s degree in a subject such as Data Science, Business Analytics or Maths will not be eligible.
You will also need to commit to completing a Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship.

What does the role involve?
The first skills that a consultant needs to develop is the ability to listen and understand a customers problem. Therefore, you'll start your journey on our support desk where you'll talk to our customers, create tickets and as your knowledge and skills grow resolve issues that have with their Qlik applications and dashboards.
From their you'll join project teams and work at every stage of the data and project lifecycle. Tasks will include:
- Documentation
- Data Migration
- Data cleansing
- Generating reports
- Dashboards and visualisation
- Data analysis
- Forecasting
At all times you'll be expected to communicate professionally and work collaboratively and transparently with your colleagues and our customers.
Requirements
First and foremost you must be interested in working collaboratively to support our clients and solve real world business problems. In addition, you'll have:
- Proven interest in data analysis (this could be from formal studies, self study or the workplace)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Detail-oriented and strong attention to accuracy and completeness
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and continuously improve technical and professional skills
- Competency with Microsoft office applications including Excel
Some experience of using data tools (e.g. SQL, Python, visualisation tools such as Qlik / Power BI / Tableau etc) would be an advantage but not essential.
Qualifications
Essential
- 7 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades 9-4 or A-C including English and Mathematics
- 3 A Levels (or equivalent) at grades A*-C in any subject but preferably one in a numerical or computing subject
Please note: Applications are encouraged from graduates looking for an apprenticeship route to a data consultancy career.
Salary: £22,000 - £25,000
Additional Information
Progression: our services are in demand and we're expanding as an organisation. After completing the apprenticeship there will be options to continue to develop in one of the four following specialties; Data consultant, Technical support, Technical pre-sales, or Education.
Work pattern - as a apprentice data analyst you'll also be part of the team that provides first line support for our solutions. Our service desk is staffed between 5.30am - 5.30pm, seven days a week, 364 days a year. We have a shift pattern to share the workload and balance out of hours / unsociable working and further information about this will be provided.
Apprenticeship Training to be provided:
You will undertake a Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship where you will learn the hands-on skills to extract data from a range of sources and systems, model the data and store it in a data store, profile and analyse the data before telling a story with it and making recommendations.
